Tribes ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Tribes app.
We collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, profile photo, bio, location, and any content you post (photos, projects, moodboards). We also collect information about how you use the app, such as connections you make and messages you send.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve Tribes, personalize your experience, send you notifications about activity relevant to you, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. Profile content, posts, and messages are stored in Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage. Images are served over HTTPS.
With your permission, we send push notifications for messages, connection requests, collab requests, and activity on your posts. You can manage notification preferences within the app or your device settings at any time.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with third-party service providers (such as Firebase and Apple) solely to operate the app. We may disclose information if required by law.
You can update or delete your profile information at any time within the app. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible.
Tribes is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Tribes after changes means you accept the updated policy.
